"Picking up my first SLR was an interesting journey. I found out my dad was interested in Photography growing up and he had some great pictures of us playing baseball. I took his Canon AE-1 and loaded some film and fell in love with the interchangeable lens concept. I quickly moved over to digital as it became expensive to shoot film and have it developed.
A few years later I was shooting photos and editing on my computer. This afforded me more time to learn the digital darkroom of the modern age. Starting with film taught me patience, but digital afforded me more time to practice and the results are immediate. The best thing film teaches you is; shoot every frame like it is your last. Enjoy framing an image and process of the capture. The results will be more meaningful. There is usually a great story behind a great image. I hope you enjoy making images and creating great stories."
I created these workshops as an outlet for creatives in Austin to mold the craft. Perhaps you got a DSLR for Christmas and want to take it further than just auto. Maybe you are experienced in shooting but want to learn about editing portraits. This is a place for you.
